Composites Materials Scientist


Responsibilities:
• Help plan and execute R&D activities related to additive manufacturing composite polymers and nanomaterials
• Develop composite and nanomaterial formulations for AREVO additive manufacturing process
• Identify characterization methods and protocols for AREVO composite materials
• Conduct characterization testing and analyze results

Requirements:
• Candidate must have 10+ years experience applying synthetic/organic chemistry methods to formulate and functionalize composite polymers and nanomaterials
• Skilled at hands-on composite chemistry
• Strong synthetic/organic chemistry background
• Strong materials characterization background including fiber wetout tests and Instron mechanical testing
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Requires PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields, including at least 2 years laboratory experience, with an emphasis on chemistry as it relates to composites and nanomaterials

Senior Mechanical Robotics Engineer


Responsibilities:

• Help plan and execute R&D activities involving robotic systems for additive manufacturing
• Responsible for Design and construction of Robotic Arm based manufacturing platform. Platform includes robotic arm fitted on a gantry system, end effector deposition head, tool changer, sensors, lasers and safety systems

Experience:

• Candidate must have 10+ years experience working on robotic or 6+ axis systems
• Strong CAD/CAM background
• Strong hands-on mechatronics experience
• Experience in setting up machine safety systems
• Experience with machine laser integration
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Preferred MS or PhD in mechanical or robotics engineering

Senior Software Robotics Engineer


Responsibilities:

• Help plan and execute R&D activities involving robot kinematics and programming
• Integrate commercial robotic controller and arm with Arevo additive manufacturing solution

Experience:

• Candidate must have 10+ years experience working with software algorithms for robotic systems
• Strong C++ background
• Strong hands-on robotic programming experience preferably with ABB, Kuka robots
• Experience in setting up robotic GUIs
• Experience in debugging robotic controller/interface issues
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Preferred MS or PhD in computer science or related field with an emphasis on robotic programming

3D Printer Technician


Responsibilities (3D printer experience NOT necessary):

  • Run 3D print jobs, perform preventative maintenance, and service production grade 3D printers
  • “Dial-in” machine performance and provide R&D engineers (mechanical and software) suggestions about mechanical and operation improvements

Experience (some mix of the following):

  • Mechanically Inclined (hands-on experience with machining or other manufacturing technologies)
  • Understanding of accuracy, tolerance and mechanical drawings
  • CAD / CAM software experience
  • Experience working on and maintaining machines with performance and reliability targets
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in machines and machinery operation software


Senior Software Engineer (Process Control)


Required:

  • 2+ years of experience with C, C++
  • Knowledge of Unix, Linux or Windows operating systems
  • Experience developing process control solutions and/or embedded systems
  • Experience as a developer programming, designing and testing innovative solutions to integrate multiple sensors and actuators into a process control solution from R&D to production
  • B.S. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and lean development principles
  • Knowledge of or expertise in scripting languages such as shell scripting, Python, or others
  • Knowledge of or expertise in sensor integration
  • Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time kernels
  • Knowledge of build tools such as make, gulp, etc.
  • Experience with at least one of the PLC systems from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric or other industry standard PLC systems
  • Have used source code control systems such as git, svn
  • Knowledge of continuous integration systems such as Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.


Senior Software Engineer (Computer Graphics & Scientific Computation)


Responsibilities:

  • Develop user interfaces and algorithms for viewing scientific data on 3D geometry

Required:

  • Degree in computer science, math/physics, engineering or related field
  • B.S. with two years experience (or M.S. with zero years experience) in computer graphics and/or scientific programming
  • Knowledge of linear algebra, computer graphics and related algorithms

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of opengl and / or other graphics standards
  • Develop in C++ and other languages using standard GUI’s such as MS Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of industry standard geometry file formats such as STEP, STL, IGES
  • Develop, code and improve algorithms for scientific computation including parallel and/or vector (GPU) processing
  • Ability to take software from research and development phase to commercial applications


Senior Robotics & Software Development Engineer


Responsibilities:

  • Develop virtual build software for 3D printed parts based on robotic kinematics

Required:

  • Degree in computer science, math/physics, engineering or related field
  • M.S./PhD with 3+ years experience in software development for robotics applications
  • Knowledge of robotics kinematics prediction, 3D graphics, GUI development

Preferred:

  • PhD with strong computer science, math and knowledge of commercial robots (e.g. ABB robots)
  • Knowledge of programming commercial robots and determining trajectories
  • Develop in C++ and other languages using standard development tools such as MS Visual Studio and GUI interface development using such tools as Qt.
  • Solid 3D modeling (or related) software development
  • Knowledge of 3D additive manufacturing technology
  • Ability to take software from research and development phase to commercial applications


Senior Metrology & Software Development Engineer


Responsibilities:

  • Develop metrology approaches and software solutions for ensuring high quality 3D printed parts

Required:

  • Degree in computer science, math/physics, engineering or related field
  • M.S./PhD with 3+ years experience in software development for metrology applications
  • Knowledge of both software and appropriate metrology hardware (e.g. digital microscopy, optical/laser based metrology)

Preferred:

  • PhD with strong computer science, math and knowledge of digital microscopy and other metrology methods
  • Develop in C++ and other languages using standard development tools such as MS Visual Studio
  • Knowledge of comparison algorithms for comparing digital metrology measurements, digital image processing, flatness detection, laser based sensors for detecting defects
  • Ability to take software from research and development phase to commercial applications
